Introducing Cross + Compass, PLC
It’s with great excitement that I introduce Cross + Compass, PLC, a new law firm based in Northern Michigan dedicated to helping families and property owners navigate life’s most important legal decisions with clarity and confidence.
For many, the law feels overwhelming—dense documents, confusing rules, and the worry of missing something important. My goal in creating Cross + Compass is simple: to provide direction you can trust, so that planning for your family, your property, or your retirement doesn’t have to feel intimidating.
Why Cross + Compass?
The name reflects both my roots and my mission. The cross is a nod to my family name, and the compass symbolizes guidance—pointing you north toward a steady path when things feel uncertain. Together, they represent the values behind my practice: faith, family, and direction.

A Personal Mission
Before launching this firm, I spent over five years practicing law alongside my father and mentor, Dennis Cross, and more than ten years working in the Trust and Wealth Departments of local banks. Those experiences showed me both the importance of precision in drafting and the value of steady guidance for families.
Now, with Cross + Compass, PLC, I’m bringing that experience together under one mission:
To help Northern Michigan families and property owners plan with clarity, protect what matters most, and move forward with peace of mind.
